Behavioral Health Group (BHG), a leading provider of opioid addiction treatment services. BHG provides medication assisted treatment and counseling services in a conventional outpatient setting.

Under general supervision, performs general business office functions that may include some or all of the following: billing and claim submissions; charge capture and payment posting; insurance verification and eligibility; obtaining pre-authorization; counseling patients and families on insurance and payment issues; and account follow-up and payment resolution. As necessary, assists patients and families with obtaining community resources including, but not limited to, housing, transportation, and financial support.



  • Ensures all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is obtained from all patients and entered into the PMS system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Update all patient demographic, insurance and authorization information as necessary.
  • Confirms and verifies patients insurance and eligibility information via phone and/or payer portal access.
  • Obtains pre-authorization of services and/or referrals for all required services prior to scheduled appointment.
  • Collects and reviews all patient insurance information and completes insurance forms. Collects co-pays, deductibles and other out of pocket amounts at the time of visit.
  • Assesses patient financial requirements and advises patients and families on insurance benefits, co-pays and financial obligations.
  • Scan a copy of all insurance cards and authorization documentation to the patients account.
  • Answer all in-coming calls
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Check in patients for appointment
  • Perform other duties as assigned


High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum three to five years medical business office experience.
